Uniting the church in Luton to pray for the town of Luton

Luton Town Centre Chaplaincy - Prayer Points 47

Posted on 01 19, 2012 by Tim

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard,

running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe.

It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.

For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

Psalm 133

  • We are in the official Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and can give thanks for the way that the churches in Luton are working together through various projects, but especially in the Chaplaincy. It’s so good to see the Trustees, Volunteers and staff coming from such a wide variety of church backgrounds. Please pray that more churches in our town will catch the vision of working together – and will know God’s blessing.

  • Next Thursday a good number of church and other leaders (including Michael) connected with Transforming Luton are spending a day together to build relationships with new leaders in the town and to seek God’s vision for the church in Luton for 2012 and beyond. Please pray for this special time.

  • Please pray for Michael – he has been suffering from a ‘flu/cold’ virus for a number of weeks now. Please pray that this will go and that his energy levels will be restored.

  • Thank you for your prayers – we continue to be encouraged by your commitment. If you feel that God is saying anything for the Chaplaincy, please do pass it on.

    God bless!

    Helen
