God asks us to bring our ‘prayers and petitions’ to him – thank you for doing this for us on a regular basis. It’s also great to give thanks for what we see him doing and this week we’d like to give thanks for the following …
The Housing and Community Living Department at Luton Borough Council have invited Michael and Jessica (Town Hall Chaplaincy team leader) to a meeting with their department on Tuesday 7th February to see how the Chaplaincy can support their staff.
We now have 4 people getting on board as Youth Chaplains – Ben, Clive, Becky and Katy – we hope this project will be up and running by the beginning of March.
Luton in Harmony celebrates its 2nd birthday this weekend. This is a great initiative (http://www.luton.gov.uk/harmony) which brings people together from the many and diverse communities and faiths in Luton. It has a really positive effect on the town, and continues to promote a positive message about Luton to the national media.
We have a really great bunch of volunteer chaplains who will be meeting for training this weekend!
