Matters for thanks
·continuing willingness of most schools to receive us in year 7 assemblies - 1700 children in Luton and S Beds received New Testaments last autumn.
·jointly with Bedford we have the opportunity to present New Testaments to new police constables at their Attestation ceremony at HQ - I attended one in
November and all but 2 constables received one. Many are working in this area.
·with Andrew's help (Uni Chap), we placed 850 Bibles in student's rooms in Luton in September and gave out 1000 New Testaments to students at the Fresher's
Fayre, plus 100 Chinese Bibles to Chinese Students.
Matters for intercessory prayer
·for a change of heart at some schools which have declined our offer to visit, praying that ways may be found so as not to upset those of other faiths and offend
sensibilities.
·for the hearts and minds of all the children who have taken New Testaments and for their families that they may discover the Christ we cannot talk about when in
school.
·to support the Hospital Chaplain as she seeks appropriate ways to enable us to visit the wards at the L&D once again.
·for resources to enable us to update the work among the new hotels springing up, so that guests may find an answer to the problems they face in their life.
·for resources to continue the work in the elderly person accommodation, which will become an increasingly large area of ministry as the population ages.
